A higher percentage of feathers - the key feature of Classic

The pillows in the Classic category contain goose and duck feathers in different proportions. In some models the feathers are 90% versus 10% down, while in the "Grandmother's" pillows they represent 100% of the filling. Why do we put feathers in our pillows, and how do they improve the properties of the final product? These are questions worth answering, because they excite our customers.

Goose and duck feathers have been used to fill pillows for centuries. They are preferred for their unique properties and, above all, for their ability to create comfort by providing firm support for the head during sleep. This part of the bird's plumage has natural elasticity and the ability to expand, creating the ideal height and support for the head and neck.

The density of this filling helps maintain the shape of the pillow, preventing it from creasing over time. Feathers also have excellent softness, creating a feeling of incredible comfort during sleep. When compressed under the weight of the head, fillings with a higher percentage of feathers gently adapt to the contour of the bed, offering a downy surface that wraps around the head and neck.

Downproof cotton fabric

The quality of pillows filled with goose and duck feathers is largely determined by the fabric cover in which the filling is placed. The pillows presented in the Classic section stand out for their high quality, purity of filling and very fine cover fabric. The fabric in which the products are wrapped is a high-quality cotton percale, woven with a fine thread, so that the escape of the filling through the tiny holes is completely impossible.

Our fabric covers are dense, but at the same time soft to the touch, with a smooth and slightly glossy surface. The fabrics we use are certified according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1 for the absence of harmful substances. This international standard ensures that the fabric is hypoallergenic and free from harmful substances such as formaldehyde, heavy metals and toxic dyes.
